Overpowering the Giant...Almost
- No matter what happens after this, G Anton Khudobin has already made it a season of wonder for the Saskatoon Blades with an 80 save performance...making a soon to be route into a frustrating marathon.
Looking into the drafting ranks of last years Euro draft, one would think that while the blades did indeed get to pick in the 1st round, their selection wouldn't amount to much more than a healthy scratch, a player not used for much more than wearing a suit and tie and looking extra splendid in the C.U.C bleachers while the rest of his team sweated it out ont he ice.
While other years it would be so predictable, we are more than happy this year to say we are dead wrong.

Shots on Goal
Medicine Hat Way too many
Saskatoon Way too much
"I just focus and try to stop puck, and it was a good for me, i was stopping everything shot, you understand" said Khudobin in his brusque Russian accent, not knowing whether we get it or not.
it was a night where he could not be stopped but was, it was a night where he seemed unbeatable yet was beaten, but not as a goalie. On Saturday night he won the season, the hearts, and the respect from hockey fans all over, we understood Anton, more than you'll ever know.
